The humming sound of creation

I suppose that almost every human being knows either the term OM or Amen or both of them. Many may also know that in the bible "in the beginning was the word" refers exactly to that terms, which are actually the same.

When I first met GuruNath in person in Berlin in the summer of 2009, he helped me to hear the sound of OM or – to be more exact – the echo of the OM (again). This is what he calls the humming sound of creation because the world we experience has been and still is created out of that sound-light-vibration. Following GuruNaths instructions I chanted OM and then listened and was surprised to hear a subtle ringing sound my right ear. Since then I almost permanently hear that sound and since autumn 2010 I also feel it during my meditations. There is no way for me to explain how this is possible – I just accept what I experience and try to remain in the state of mind of a five-year-old child: Experiencing, just being in the here and now and feeling the bliss of the One-ness.
